Leadership

Dr. John Monroe, Pastor
john_monroe-web

After nearly two years of praying and searching for a Senior Pastor, God led our church to call Dr. John Monroe, from Riverview, Florida, as our Senior Pastor on November 2, 2008. He accepted the call a few days later. His first Sunday in the pulpit of Faith Baptist Church was January 18, 2009.

Dr. Monroe received Christ as his Savior at the age of eight while attending Children's Church at Temple Baptist Church in Fredericksburg, VA, where he grew up. He followed the Lord in believer's baptism in that same church. Upon graduating from high school in 1984, he enrolled at BJU beginning as an accounting major. Through various difficulties during his freshman year, the Lord began to speak to his heart about fulltime service for Him. In 1985 God called Dr. Monroe into the ministry, and it was then that he changed his major to Pastoral Studies.
