We believe that missions is that part of the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8) in which Christians reach beyond the normal discipleship sphere of their own local church for the purpose of assisting in the proclamation of the gospel, the discipling of converts, the establishment and strengthening of indigenous local churches, and the development of Christian leaders. Constitutionally, a minimum of ten percent of our annual receipts must be given towards missions' outreach and support. In reality, Faith Baptist Church gives about 30% of its annual budget to missions. Over $200,000 is given through Faith Promise Grace Giving while an additional $150,000 is given to missions through general fund allocations and missionary love offerings. Over $350,000 is given to missions each year. Faith Baptist Church supports 74 missionaries, 13 mission boards, 4 Christian Schools, 3 Christian Camps, and the Fundamental Baptist Fellowship International. Of our 74 missionaries, 40 of them are either members or former members of Faith Baptist Church. Recognizing the great benefit of short-term missions trips both to our missionaries and people, Faith Baptist participates in and/or sponsors around 15 trips each year around the world with over 200 of our members usually participating.
