What is Mentoring Moms?
Mentoring Moms is a women’s Bible study that provides warm, friendly fellowship with an opportunity for younger moms and older, experienced moms to connect and encourage each other to grow in Christ. The idea springs from the Titus 2, which instructs the older women in the church to teach the younger ones. Loving, experienced mentor moms provide discipleship, along with practical knowledge of marriage and childrearing.
Our format – Ruth: Experiencing a Life Restored, by Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth
“A suffering nation, Israel was a dark and unfriendly home for women. As a widowed woman, Ruth’s story began in desolation—but as in every story whose Author is God, her desolation was not without hope. As you watch that glimmer of hope bloom into a dazzling display of grace, you’ll understand why the book of Ruth is called, by some, the greatest love story of all time. This love story is much less about romance and more about restoration. This story illustrates how God can turn tragedy into joy, no matter how desperate circumstances may seem.”
Each week, we will study a chapter in the book, then break into small groups for discipleship. Afterward, we can eat lunch together! Bring lunches for yourself and your children.
Our dates – Tuesday mornings, January 23 to March 12, 2024. We will meet in the fireplace room of the Bridge, at Faith Baptist Church, 500 West Lee Road, Taylors, SC 29687.
Our childcare – Childcare is provided! Please register soon so that we can schedule enough childcare workers. All workers have successfully completed a background check and a special training course, so you can be confident that your children will be loved and safe.
